Finance advice for a soon-to-be college grad looking at relocation?

I’m about to enter my final year of college (getting a BS in physics) in MN and am thinking about relocating to Cleveland area upon graduating (partly personal reasons, partly as they have a large medical imaging industry). I’m going to graduate at 20- I’ve lived on campus all through college so its not like I have a whole apartment set up, although I will NOT have any student loans or debt (which frees me up quite a bit). My parents would let me to live at home and work in Minneapolis area but I’d prefer to be on my own if I could. I’d like to go about it the right way, though.

How much should I save to cover relocation costs, set-up costs, etc? Any advice on the best way to prepare financially for graduation?

Debt Consolidation: Is this a good idea, bad idea or does it depend? (Details inside)?

I’m trying to figure out if debt consolidation is something I should be considering. I know very little about debt consolidation, and overall finances terrify me (I literally have anxiety attacks), so any advice or insight you can provide to help me understand my options would be most appreciated! Thanks for your time!

Here are some details below (#’s below are estimates)

Debt: 10-13K

Monthly income: ,400-,600

Amount paid in bills (Monthly): 25.89 – 65.89 (This is currently living rent free; note: the amount varies due to whether or not I get financial assistance from SO or Family on some things like food or medications that week/month)

Depressed… I need advice from an adult?

I am a 35 year old woman and I don’t work. No one would hire me because I haven’t been employed for several years now. I live with my father, her gf and their kids. I dont receive any governent support and financially depend on my dad and use credit cards. I have amassed a huge school loan (50K) since I went to graduate school as well. I just babysit my half sisters and brother but I don’t want this life anymore. My dad does care for me since he does want me to move out and find a nice and stable guy, so I feel pressured to do so, but deep down I have virtually zero interest in being in a relationship.

Sometimes I feel like ending it all, and I always cry in my sleep. I feel like I am a disappointment to my family. I just wish to find a good job so I can move out and be financially independent and debt free. I dont know what to do anymore I feel like I am stuck in a rut.

I guess I want advice on how to get out of this rut and start my life. Should I get a loan and move to the midwest and try my luck there in finding a job? Or join the military/army/marines/airforce/navy or anything in the gov’t that will forgive my school loans, but I think I’m too old for that.. Or do I have a chance to do that still?

I dont have any friends to talk about this so I appreciate any advice that you can give me. Thank you

How can I get debt free, and live my dream of moving to NYC?

I seriously feel stuck.. I work about 55 hours a week right now.

I just got my car paid off; my credit card debt is exactly 78.74, and exactly ,291.43 in student loans.

I feel like if I could get all my debt paid off, I could save up enough money quickly to actually move.

I think I would be ok with just paying off the credit cards, because my student loans are consolidated and the payment is 5.71 a month.. So I could swing it.

Please offer me advice. Please let me know where I should go from here. I’ve wanted to move there for years, but every so often I throw the thought out of my head because I feel like it’s never going to happen.

I live in Ohio I am 28 and single. I live with my parents at the moment. I am looking for apartments around here reluctantly, but I’m on the waiting list.. I really feel like if I move into one here, I’ll never be able to save up enough to move to NYC. Please give me your advice. I’ve been there a few times, and love it. How can I make money other ways, what can I sell? Help me please.
