Applying for a job but I'm 6 months pregnant?
I’m 6 months pregnant and barely showing. I need a job really bad to buy some of the things we still need for the baby and to pay off some of our debt. I’m pretty sure that I know how I’ll handle it (not tell) but I just want to know what your opinions are? I am in Canada and I already know that I have no legal obligation to tell and that they can’t fire me once they find out because that would be against the law. The best supporting comment for my case that I have heard is basically not to tell and when they ask/find out to say that it never came up. I’m not applying for anything great, just a job at a fast food restaurant. Any other advice would be appreciated!
I went for a couple job interviews back in January where I chose to tell that I was pregnant, and they told me some completely bogus reason for why I didn’t get the job. This is where I am basing my new opinion. I am a damn hard worker, and any company should be glad to have me even if it is for only 3 months!
