I work from 8am to 6pm with a 2hr. lunch break. I have daughters too old to be at the daycare I work at, but the daycare picks them up and brings them there. One of my co-workers take them home an hour later when she gets off. Then I get off an hour later, so they are not home alone long. I live about 8 mins. away and their school is 5 mins. away from the daycare. I have no relatives or friends to roommate with or depend on to keep my kids so I can work a second job. I owe my university for one semester because my gpa was too low to get pell grants and federal student loans. I haven’t gotten court ordered child support in years. I am certified in cpr and health and I am taking classes paid by my daycare at the university. In order for me to get a true degree, the semester must be paid off first as I am told. Is there money out there to help me pay this? I need a work at home job in addition to my current job so I can be home with my girls. I need extreme help because I am behind on bills. Is there any concrete advice you can give me to get me out of this hole?

I have a father who is financially irresponsible. The guy has scammed his way through life and left hundreds of unpaid bills, loans, etc. He has no health or life insurance and I assume I’ll be stuck with his funeral expenses as his only child. I’ve spoken with him about it and he doesn’t seem willing to do anything to solve the problem. When he dies, I’ll pay for the funeral, but how can I protect myself from being stuck with all of his debts?

Last year a filling fell out of my last back molar.
Quite a bit of the tooth fell apart(and out of my mouth) soon after.
I was saving to have it fixed, but I lost my job a few months ago.
Now all my money goes to school and rent.

I do not have any extra money.
I also do not have any family or anyone, who could lend me funds in any way.
I’ve been living on ramen for 6 months because I could swallow it and not cause tooth pain.
When chewing became too much I switched to protein shakes.
My tooth is now at the point I can suck through a straw and or drink much without immense pain.

I do not have 8 hours to sit in a office and maybe have a chance of getting looked at.
If I miss a certain number of days in class and lab, I lose grant money.
I’ve missed my quota already just trying to get someone…anyone to look at my tooth.

I’m in over 0,00 student loan debt, school comes first and I know it will be ok in the long run BUT…my tooth sure don’t know that. :-/

I do not qualify for public-aid or medical help(trust me I have tried everything!)
Please don’t tell me to go to the Dental Clinics at UIC.
I’ve been there and they require full payment upfront, no exceptions.

I can make cash payments of about – a week.
No dentist or so called "free" clinic has been willing to work with me.

I really scared for my health, I know the tooth is past abscessed.

I just don’t know what to do.
Maybe I’m looking in the wrong places.

Any advice would be very welcomed.

I’ve already been screwed by my ex, his lawyer & our divorce trial judge. I couldn’t afford a lawyer, there are no probono lawyers in Alaska. I called 40 different lawyers & no one was willing to work on contingency. Even Legal Aid ignored my calls. The trial is over, I got screwed, I filed a complaint against the judge, that’s over with, so please don’t tell me I should have gotten a lawyer, that is not my question!

My ex was ordered to sell 2 properties, after taxes are paid I am supposed to get 60% of what’s left over. The clincher is, the idiot judge ruled that my husband can pay off ALL of his bills (pre & post separation) with the sales money, despite all the evidence & even my ex’s admittance on stand that he sold & took 0,000 after wrongfully selling our house last year, leaving me with nothing. He makes 00 a month. I am disabled & have no income & owe thousands on medical bills, but I was ordered to pay those myself. (How? I don’t know.)

There’s interest in the 2 properties now. If they sale there will be about 0,000 to be divided after the taxes are paid. His name is on the properties only & he owns them free & clear (no debt). There are no liens against them. My Ex will drum up bogus papers (like he did before) claiming he has bills to pay & will use ALL of the money from the sales to "pay" for these bogus bills. In actuality he’ll hide the $, put it in someone elses name for now, making sure I get nothing! AGAIN! This is what he does, & a judge already let him get away with it once. He’ll do it again.

What can I do?

Every time I ask for advice on what to do, such as putting liens on the property, I am told that I should have gotten a lawyer. My problem is I have no income, I only have debt, I’m out of AK & don’t have the health to go take care of things myself, I’m stuck here getting told I should have gotten a lawyer.

I’m begging you PLEASE don’t tell me I should get a lawyer. Tell me HOW to get one. HOW? Tell me what, if anything, can I do without a lawyer? How can I make sure my ex doesn’t screw me over yet again? What can I do? Please help me!

if your job before was you really wanted and wants to get better at it..then suddenly, you’re dropped down..then, you get hired but harder tasks..physically..you suffered from a stroke and still working to get stronger.. what would you do?
