How do you exspect individuals to pay off their credit cards debts, when there are no jobs available?

I don’t have acredit card. However there are many individuals who do. And they got their credit cards in good faith. They thought they would be able to pay their debts, because they had jobs. However since there are NO jobs available. How are they going to pay for their convient plastic credit cards?

Student loan debt exceeds credit card debt

With universities charging upwards of 000 for a year of tuition—without taking into consideration room, board, books and more—is it worth the debt students are burdened with to risk just being added to the astronomical unemployment count? I'm 28 live with my parents.. I work 2 jobs.. Dad is so controlling.. Advice?

My dad is Romanian, and he’s the most controlling and judgemental person I ever met..
He is mad that I’m not married or have kids.
He doesn’t like my glasses, he thinks I should have short hair and doesn’t like it long, anytime I’m home he says "You need to go out and find a husband".. He gets mad if I have my hands in my coat pockets, he will judge my makeup, he gets mad when I hang out with my friend and says "Don’t hang out with girls, go find a man".. I mean he judges everything I do!

I work one job 40 hrs a week, and the other job I work about 15 hrs a week.. I want to move out, but need to pay off credit card debt and get it out of the way so I can afford rent..

Please give me all the advice you can, how can I make more money on top of working 2 jobs..

I want to move out and have my own life..

I give my parents 100 dollars a month, cause that’s all my mom wants.. But my dad says to me "you live for free here"..

i’m so sick of it!

How has God blessed you?

I just wanted to ask how God has blessed you. I see all of these questions directed at Christians asking us why do we believe in a God that we can’t see and I want to answer them! :) How has God blessed you? Your finances? Your children? Your career? This is the time to praise His Holy Name and let the non-believers see what our God can do for them because He’s done it for us!!

I’ll start: I was praying and searching for a second job and it just wasn’t happening for me. I didn’t work for six months last year and I’m still trying to get myself out of that debt and I thought that working myself like a Hebrew slave was going to help me but God wasn’t letting me get them. I then realized that God was trying to tell me I need to trust in Him and He will handle my finances. I paid my tithe’s for the first time in years last week and yesterday, I received a letter in the mail from one of my old jobs saying they have a check for me for 3!! I AM SO BLESSED!!

Ok, your turn….
Pom: it’s not about the amount of the check, He knew that that was how much I needed. The more obedient I become, the more favor I will receive. If He can send me 3 after just ONE WEEK of tithing, I can only imagine what He will do after one year! Not to mention for eternity. This question was not asked because my faith is weak and no one should think that they can discourage me. This question is for those who want to give honor and thanks to Him. :)

How worried should I be about a credit check? I am a new grad who has terrible credit from too much credit?

So I recently graduates from college with a bachelors in engineering from a great school. During my sophomore and freshman year I got a bunch of credit cards, used them all up and never paid them. Today, I have a credit school of 490 and a bunch of negative marks and 2 judgements on my credit. I just hired a debt consolidation company to help me to manage (not expunge because I want to take full responsibility for this foolish error) my debt and get it back in order. It is about 30,000 in debt. My big dilemma is that I just got a job offer from a major utiliy company in Minnesota and I am horrified that my job offer will be rescinded despite my excellent degree and background because of the mistakes of my youth. Am I being paranoid or realistic? I have spent years cultivating my background ot make myself the ideal candidate in every other way. I have spent time overseas learning new languages, lots of technical jobs, held leadership positions and founded community service organization and I feel like if I am turned down because of my credit, then my degree is worthless and I might as well work at McDonalds. I do not feel I am entitled to a job or a hig hsalary or anything because I went to college but how am I ever supposed to fix this issue if no one will hire me to make enough money to fix my credit?
The job offer has not be rescinded but I am worried it could be because of my poor credit. I was up front about it and explained my background to the hiring manager but he said he is not that worried about it and the ywould really like to have me
The company I hired was a debt management firm they basically just call the creditors to negotiate down my debt and then agree to a a certain monthly payment for each. I did not get a loan because I have heard they are a bad idea. I just wish I was smarter earlier own but it wasnt until the end of my college career than I started to understand credit cards and debt which was my fault. I want to pay off the debt because I feel so guilty about not paying these people their money when I know I owe them
Yes, I have a college degree and while engineers are historically bad at english and grammar, I was not really worrying about spelling mistakes when I typed this

What is it like working as a customer service rep on phone?

I am 19 years old and tomorrow I have an interview with a company for a customer service representative position. The only legitimate job I had was working at starbucks as a barista and the rest were small under-the-table jobs (Should I not include these on my resume?). The pay is .50.
Do they hire young people with no experience?
Even though I am "mature" and I believe that I hold myself very well I look very young (Most people think I’m a high school freshman…)
If they are not willing to hire a young person like me with no experience I don’t want to waste my time and drive all the way over there to get rejected.

Thoughts please?

The job post says:
"Our Company is a lead generation In-Bound call center that screens calls before transferring them to Debt Consolidation, Auto Warranty and Loan Modification Companies. "

Oh dear, I have absolutely no knowledge in these areas.

What would you do if you had all the power in the world?

Ex: Obama
Keep in mind your situation:
You have a growing debt,
Chances of dollar collapsing are imminent,
Oil is on the rise as with many other natural resources,
Your country is the worlds superpower as of the moment,
and It can easily slip out of your hands
Ties with nations can be lost
Prisons are overcrowding
Jobs are being lost.
Now I know that your probably saying,"Hey, That sounds kinda like OUR current situation!"
Of course not.
If you as of today had a high ranking job where you were able to affect humanity, like for instance if you were the President of the United States of America, how would you cope?
Would you find a way to fix this mess of a world we live in today?
Would you crush under the pressure?
Would you let your power corrupt you?
Let your power corrupt you to the point that you would take over the world and create 1 world run Gov, where population growth was monitored and the worlds people was a middle class working for the Gov?
Or would you have created this whole situation to give you a reason to inflict martial law on your people due to overcoming to your greed?
Now these are just some examples I’m throwing out there.
It just really makes me think that when you are the president how much power do you really have?
And who can we trust that power with?
So I am asking the community of yahoo? Can any of you handle the most powerful position on Earth?
Can any human in general be trusted with any kind of position of power such as this?
If not, why is it that we put trust in any of these people today, in modern times?
Let me know what you think.
