I need financial advice. I'm finally debt free! What should I do with $10,000?

After a little over a year I’ve worked my butt of to become debt free by living frugally and way under my means. I am now going to receive a ,000 bonus from my job. What is the best way to allocate this money?

I have no emergency fund, nor do I have any retirement. I don’t want to spend this money frivolously. I’m done with that.

Should I put it into an emergency fund? Or start my retirement? (I’m 25 years old)

I was also thinking of using the money to use towards down payment on a house because I would rather pay mortgage than pay rent if the amount equals out.

Financial advice is appreciated! Thank you!
I make ,800 a month take home if that helps.

advice on mortgage/credit issue?

I bought a house with an ex a couple years ago who still pays part of the mortgage but doesn’t live in the home with me anymore. I lost my job and having trouble finding work. I’ve run out of savings. i put all of the down payment from my retirement and took all of the financial risk. On top of that consistently paid 55 to 60% of the monthly payments for two years because I was the one who made more money. Now I am barely making ends meet and having some looming tax debt. The least I can do is hang on to the house as investment after hopefully riding out this bad economy one day. My ex had been unemployed for a long time and now that he has a job (and living rent free with family) is saying he would prefer to sell the house instead of working with me even though I fully supported him while he was unemployed. We both have good credit and don’t want to ruin it. But I feel like I’ll be damned if I am going to lose my investment and my place to live. If I don’t find a job soon, I am starting to wonder if I might consider bankruptcy. How would this affect my ex? We were never married but are both on the title/deed of the home.
(*also, right now the value of the home is just slightly less than what is owed on it)

Do you believe that the amount of money you make doesn't matter as much as your happiness with the job?

I really want to work with animals for a career. I don’t really think I would be able to be a veterinarian, I wouldn’t be able to handle having to perform surgery and having all of the responsibility that they do. I am interested in becoming a veterinary technician though, which is pretty much the vet’s nurse. Vet technicans do not make all that much money, i think the most you can make is /hr. I don’t plan on having kids though and already found the person i am going to spend my life with. I don’t need to make a ton of money, but i would like to make enough to have a house, and to be able to save for retirement and stay out of debt. My boyfriend is a musician and will be getting his masters in percussion performance. There aren’t alot of great job offerings for this career, but he says that he couldn’t seem himself being happy doing anything else regardless of how much money he makes. Do you think i should follow my passion and maybe not make alot of money, or should i try to find something else that pays more but i may not love?

I need a really catchy advertisement logo for my car.?

I work for an all around financial services company. I offer life, car, & home insurance. I also refinance mortgages without starting people back over at 30 years, get people approved for a purchase of a home loan, debt consolidations, planning for retirement & college savings, as well as offer an oppurtunity for a career with my company. I want to sum all of that up on a car door magnet. Help Please!!!
