Good trade site for small trades in stock market?

Thinking about starting to trade in the stock market but only with small amounts to start out, somewhere around 100 to 300 dollars and was wondering if there are any good sites out there that would have minimal fees for such a small amount? I was referred to Scottrade, but told that this site is only good for thousands of dollars, and Sharebuilder as a good one for small trades.

What are your guys’s opinions? Any advice?

Mind you, this isn’t an investment thing, I am just doing htis in my free time to try to make a bit of extra money. I am not using money that I will need in the future, so don’t think I am going to go into debt or anything! Just figured this would be a better thing to do besides going to a casino and blowing my money.

credit cards maxed out, any way out now?

I have/had good credit, went ‘little’ overboard and now in US 0K in credit card debt, all of it invested in stock market which is now worth less than 10K. Even though I’m a professional and have a job,

To pay it all, it will take me 7 years if I were to just eat free air/water, sleep on the street, or at least 20 years by continuing my current life style.

Do I have any other options to get out of this mess?

File bankruptcy and then move to Canada, Europe or even run away to Montana leaving no change of address trail.

Any ideas???

Please help/advice

I am a poor college student. I want to be debt free. Can somebody give me an advice of buying stock shares?

I am nineteen years old sophomore in college. I have no idea about the economy and stock market, but got interested when my co-workers started discussing of the stock market and retirement plans. I heard stories of people invested money in buying stock shares and gotten rich. I also been hearing a lot about the 401k and something called pensions plans where I work (Plumbing and HVAC Company) which I think is the same thing, but it is for retirement I guess. But my point is that I am a beginner and looking forward on how I can start buying stock shares so I can invest and pay my college debts after I graduate. I would like to have advice of people who are doing these things.
