Okay I have student loan debt out the wazoo. I have been graduated for a year and currently enrolled for a masters program.I know I have to pay my loans back and there is this one collection agency that called me today and said I owe money about 2,700 dollars for my school student loans. I explained to her I am not working at the current time. She said the company I got my loan from no longer wants to negotiate with me about setting up a hardship forbearance its too late and I just have to deal with them.I asked if she can give me contact information on the company and she kept stating they don’t want to talk to me.Now I am not at all trying to get out of paying what I know I owe but I just want to make sure I am dealing with the original person who I got the student loan from. They say that the account has been with them for the past 30 days and that they will review my account on the 19th of august 7 days from now and if i do not respond i will get sued and a judgment filed against me.I am responding but I am not working have no money coming in I stay with my parents wHo are barely making it and I been looking for work for over a month since i was fired from my last job so im just **** out of luck I don’t know what to do. Wish i had a job and hope this collection agency is not a scam.I Google them and I got a rip off report about them but some say they were legit and some saying their scams. Can anyone give me some insight on how I should handle the situation please?also a way I can make money quick i hate having this over my head and would like to fix it but its hard when you have no money coming in.

Last year a filling fell out of my last back molar.
Quite a bit of the tooth fell apart(and out of my mouth) soon after.
I was saving to have it fixed, but I lost my job a few months ago.
Now all my money goes to school and rent.

I do not have any extra money.
I also do not have any family or anyone, who could lend me funds in any way.
I’ve been living on ramen for 6 months because I could swallow it and not cause tooth pain.
When chewing became too much I switched to protein shakes.
My tooth is now at the point I can suck through a straw and or drink much without immense pain.

I do not have 8 hours to sit in a office and maybe have a chance of getting looked at.
If I miss a certain number of days in class and lab, I lose grant money.
I’ve missed my quota already just trying to get someone…anyone to look at my tooth.

I’m in over 0,00 student loan debt, school comes first and I know it will be ok in the long run BUT…my tooth sure don’t know that. :-/

I do not qualify for public-aid or medical help(trust me I have tried everything!)
Please don’t tell me to go to the Dental Clinics at UIC.
I’ve been there and they require full payment upfront, no exceptions.

I can make cash payments of about – a week.
No dentist or so called "free" clinic has been willing to work with me.

I really scared for my health, I know the tooth is past abscessed.

I just don’t know what to do.
Maybe I’m looking in the wrong places.

Any advice would be very welcomed.

My husband and I live with his dad rent free. In the basement. We don’t want to live there anymore but we can’t afford to move out. I have ,000 in student loan debt. I have been paying on it for 4 years. I also have a 00 car loan and a credit card with 00 on it. My husband has a 00 car loan and that’s it. I work full time (10 hours/day) and my husband works two part time jobs (9 hours/day). With the amount of bills we have, we can’t afford to move out of his dad’s house. We’ve calculated how long it will take us to pay off all our debt and it’s something around 7 years. Well, we definitely want to move on with our life but we don’t know how to. What do we do?

I’m 22 and my husband is 24. He joined the Army and was going to get a ,000 sign on bonus but he was medically discharged and can’t re-enter the Army. So that option is gone.

I make /hour and my husband makes /hour at each job

Please, someone give us some advice!

Well I am an out-of-state student at University of Michigan, so needless to say I have accrued a lot of student loan debt. Anyway, I have loans from 2 different private vendors and then some government loans. My question is three parts:

a) Should I consolidate my government loans?
b) Is it possible to consolidate private loans if they’re at the same place (for example I have 3 loans with one company and 2 with the other… could I consolidate it so I have 1 big loan with each company?)
c) Is it possible to take out one huge loan a single lender and have that pay off the loans and then me just pay towards the one giant loan?

I do realize no one can make this decision for me but I really would like advice
I have a job I love but as a social worker I don’t get paid much. I have a second retail job to supplement. I am getting so tired of this second job. I would like to find another job that makes more. My wife thinks it is a bad idea because
1. current job offers lots of flexibility with scheduling (no sick time for MD appointments I have flexible scheduling I am off every other Friday etc.)
2. We are moving to work at home so I will be home more during the day except when I am out seeing clients
3. We are slowly chipping away at our debt once the credit cards, run up during college, are paid down we will just have student loan debt and that will free up so much of our income and I will be able to quit the second job. (my thing is it will take at least another year if not more to do that)
4. not everyone is lucky enough to have a job they love I may make more money but hate going to work. ( my feeling is I hate going to my second job so why not hate one job that pays me enough)

What do you think or would you do? Should I even look for another job? I was thinking of going to work for a nursing home as a social worker but they often require you to be on call can carry a pager. I could actually be called to work at any time out side of work time but they do pay more money.

Placed in parenting because I like the people here plus it affects my family
With one car and me needing it to see clients and with the children being young her working parttime is not feasable at the moment. She will go back to work full time once they are both in school which will help tons but that is a few years off yet

I am overwhelmed with credit card debt, student loan debt and monthly bills! Help!

I have a huge credit card student loan debt totalling about 20k. How will consolidating affect my credit? I plan to buy a home soon, will I have a problem with getting pre-qualified if I consolidate?
